overnight while traveling, the defense secretary leon panetta announced the military is now investigating allen as well, and senior military officials tell us it's because over a two-year period there were thousands, 20,000 to 30,000 pages of e-mails between allen and jill kelley. k keep in mind jill kelley is the woman that touched off the fbi investigation that led to the resignation of petraeus. she's the one that claimed she was getting harassing e-mails, and when the fbi looked into that, they traced those e-mails back to paula broadwell. as they were looking at her e-mails, they realized she was having an affair with general petraeus, and both of them in interviews with the fbi have admitted that. so back to allen. allen now under investigation for the e-mails that the pentagon says are potentially inappropriate. he denies any sort of inappropriate contact or e-mailing or relationship with jill kelley, but now his own senate confirmation is on hold. ironically, before all this happened, he was already here in washington for senate confirmation on thursday. he was being moved up to o
